Free Google Business Profile description checker
How do I write a good Google Business Profile description?
A strong description is 400–750 characters, says what you do and where in the first sentence, and follows Google's rules: no links, no prices or sales language, no gimmicky formatting. Paste yours below for an instant score and a list of fixes, or ask for an AI-improved version.
Edit your description, hours and services directly from LocalRanks Pro, with change alerts if anyone else edits your profile.

How long can a Google Business Profile description be?
Up to 750 characters. Only the first part shows before "More" in some views, so put your main service and location early.
Does the description help ranking?
Google says relevance, distance and prominence drive local ranking. A clear description that matches what people search for supports relevance and helps customers choose you, but it is one signal among many.
Can I put my website or phone number in the description?
Links aren't allowed, and both your website and phone already have their own fields on the profile. Use the description to explain your services instead.
Is my description stored?
The check runs in your browser and nothing is saved. If you use the AI rewrite, the text is sent to our AI provider to generate the new version and is not stored by us.
